Microneedling for smoother, healthier-looking skin
Microneedling is a treatment that creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, stimulating its natural repair response. Over time, it can help improve the appearance of uneven texture, fine lines and certain types of acne scarring.
At EIRA Clinics in Hove, we use the IMED microneedling pen and tailor each treatment to your skin, concerns and goals. Our focus is on gradual improvement in skin quality rather than dramatic change.
What can microneedling help with?
Microneedling may be suitable for concerns such as uneven skin texture, fine lines, enlarged-looking pores and some types of acne scarring. It can also be considered as part of a personalised plan for skin that appears dull or has lost some of its smoothness.
Results vary, and not every skin concern is suitable for microneedling. We’ll assess your skin before recommending treatment.
Your personalised treatment
We begin with a consultation to review your skin, medical history and treatment goals. We’ll explain the procedure, expected recovery, potential risks and whether a course of treatments may be beneficial.
Where appropriate, microneedling can be combined with a carefully selected topical treatment, such as CALecim, as part of your individual plan. We’ll explain what each product is intended to do without promising additional results.
Your skin may appear red and feel warm or tight after treatment. Temporary dryness, sensitivity and mild swelling can also occur. We’ll provide clear aftercare advice, including when to resume your usual skincare and sun protection.
A considered approach to skin renewal
Skin improvement takes time. Depending on your concerns, we may recommend a course of treatments spaced to allow your skin to recover, followed by maintenance where appropriate.
At EIRA, we’ll help you understand what microneedling can realistically achieve, when another treatment may be more suitable and how to support your skin between appointments.
