Collagen induction therapy, also known as micro-needling is used to stimulate collagen and therefore soften textural components of the skin including fine lines, pore size, and scarring. I use a medical needling pen (imedpen) which causes focused and purposefully micro-trauma to the skin, leading to the production of collagen and elastin. The benefits of micro-needling include softening of the appearance of scars and stretch marks, in addition to reduction of textural issues such as fine lines and wrinkles.
